WHAT THIS IS
These stories are true. What began as memories about work, survival, and adaptation gradually became something larger. Again and again, successful plans collided with changing laws, economic shifts, political decisions, and events far outside my control. Not because anyone was targeting me personally, but because history has a habit of landing on ordinary people without warning. One administration changed an industry. Another regulation closed a market. A political decision somewhere far away suddenly rearranged a life close to home. The satire is subtle because most disruption arrives wearing respectable clothes and carrying official explanations.
